Lodging Amenities For Everyone

Monday, August 30th, 2010

The term “lodge” when one is describing accommodations, can mean many things. Lodges can be very upscale and offer plenty of amenities, they can be highly prized and charge a premium for their services, they can offer quality dining and even have a spa. In lodges like this, there are often quite upscale hotel amenities – amenities that will complement the theme and decor of the lodge and be of high quality materials, fragrance, and packaging.

There are also lodges that are more bare-bones and economical and offer many fewer amenities. However, even these lodges must provide basic amenities to their guests. In this case, the lodge owner will look to purchase hotel amenities that are of good quality, but a great value. In this case, the lodge owner has multiple choices, they can go with a lower priced branded amenity line such as Gold Coast or Hunters Green, or they can provide their guests with an assortment of non-branded amenities. Both Gold Coast and Hunters Green are able to provide their products at a great value because they use a conditioning shampoo, as opposed to a separate shampoo and conditioner, and because they offer a facial and body bar, as opposed to offering separate facial and body bars. This way the lodge owner will only have to purchase two products instead of four.

Providing guests with shampoo and soap is usually the minimum to be expected at even the most basic lodge – however for a small additional cost, a lodge can also provide a lotion, which is available in both the Hunters Green and Gold Cost lines. Both the Gold Coast, line and the Hunters Green line are available in .75oz bottles – a perfect size for the weekend traveler. Another, even less costly option to using branded products is to use non-branded products. There are non-branded shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and hair gel packets available in small .25oz pouches, as well as other non-branded items such as dental kits, shaving kits, mending kits and shower caps.
